The deadline to turn in pledge forms/money is THIS Friday, 10/25! Cash or check payable to Edgewood - can be submitted to the Media Center. (Note: Friday is a hard deadline as Mrs. Worcester is not on campus Mon 10/28-Tue -10/29. Forms are available in the Media Center, school website, student Google classrooms, and the Monday Report.

Edgewood's Read-A-Thon NOW IN PROGRESS! Forms due Oct 25 to the Media Center.
To encourage reading and raise funds for the Media Center, participating students will get pledges and log all books read from Oct 1-25. All students who turn in a completed pledge form with at least one book read by Oct 25 will be invited to a Popcorn & Pajama Reading Lock-in AND the English class period that raises the most money will get a donut party!

Our Edgewood PTO General meeting scheduled for October 17, 2024, will be cancelled as our PTO Fall Festival is on Saturday, October 19, 2024. PLEASE join us at our Fall Festival for an amazing event! Parents will earn hours for attending the Festival.
Our next General PTO meeting is scheduled for November 21, 2024.

Donations Needed – Parent Volunteer Opportunity!
Edgewood is in need of boxes of individually wrapped bags of chips, cookies, or other snacks and treats to use as prizes for homerooms that have the highest participation on First Friday Spirit Days.
Parents can deliver these items to the front office (marked Attn: Homeroom Prizes) and earn 2 service hours per trip! Thank you so much!

Congratulations to the Top 5 Winning Homerooms for 2023-2024: Franco, Ingleton, Johnston, Reninger, M, and Mehok. Students in those homerooms will be treated to a pizza party for their last homeroom of the year.
Homerooms compete against other homerooms in their grade level all year long and earn points for inter-class competitions, Spirit days, team-building activities and more.


Students have participated in some fun reading events this spring in the Media Center - the 20 Book Challenge Celebration (for students who completed the challenge), the Florida Teens Read event (author visit and celebration for students reading the FTR books), and the SSYRA SLAM event (celebration for students reading the middle school state books). Thanks to all that participated and donated!
